Before You Begin

Attendance, Classes & Payments

At Riyaaz Online, every learning format is thoughtfully designed to provide a structured and meaningful musical journey. To ensure fairness for all students while maintaining consistency in learning, the following guidelines apply throughout your learning journey.

Why Do Monthly Fees Continue During Extended Absences?

When you enroll at Riyaaz Online, a dedicated weekly class slot is reserved exclusively for you or your learning group throughout your enrollment.

This reserved time remains unavailable to other students, regardless of whether you attend a particular class. For this reason, your monthly fee reserves your dedicated learning slot rather than individual class attendance, allowing the academy to provide continuity and maintain a consistent teaching schedule.

Accordingly, monthly fees continue during periods of travel, vacations, examinations, office commitments, family functions, or other personal reasons, as your reserved class slot remains allocated exclusively to you.

This policy applies to all learning formats.

Can I Take a Break from Classes?

Since your dedicated learning slot remains reserved throughout your enrollment, classes and monthly fees cannot be paused temporarily and resumed later according to personal schedules.

Whether you are away due to travel, work, examinations, relocation, or other personal commitments, your reserved class slot continues to remain available exclusively for you, ensuring continuity in your musical journey.

What If I Miss One or More Classes?

Regular attendance and consistent Riyaaz play an important role in musical progress. Whenever possible, students are encouraged to plan their personal schedules around their regular class timings.

Guru–Shishya Premium (One-to-One)

A class compensation facility may be considered for genuine medical or other exceptional unavoidable circumstances.

While travel, vacations, examinations, office commitments, and family functions are completely understood, compensation sessions are generally not available for such personal commitments.

Up to one compensation session may be considered within a two-month period, depending on the availability of a suitable time slot.

Depending on the student’s progress and the nature of the missed lesson, support may be provided either as:

• A full make-up class, or

• A shorter one-to-one revision and doubt-clearing session,

at the Guru’s discretion.

Saath-Saath Learning (Up to 2 Students)

As this learning format follows a shared weekly schedule, individual or group rescheduling is not available, even if one or both students are unable to attend the scheduled class.

The scheduled class is considered completed, as the teaching time and class slot remain reserved.

Students who miss a class may attend one 20–30 minute group catch-up and doubt-clearing session each month, subject to the teacher’s availability.

Sangeet Sabha (Group Learning)

To ensure smooth progress for the entire batch, individual make-up or compensation classes are not part of this learning format.

Students are encouraged to continue their personal Riyaaz and revise the concepts covered during the missed class.

Why These Guidelines?

These guidelines are not intended to be restrictive. Their purpose is to maintain a fair, transparent, and well-organized learning environment while ensuring consistency and continuity for every student.

Every reserved class slot represents dedicated teaching time that cannot be reassigned at short notice. Thoughtfully designed scheduling policies allow Riyaaz Online to provide meaningful personal attention, structured learning, and a high-quality musical experience for all students.

Need to Discuss Your Situation?

Every student’s circumstances are unique.

If you are facing an exceptional situation, please feel free to get in touch. Wherever reasonably possible and within the academy’s guidelines, I will always be happy to discuss the most appropriate way forward.

Late Fees & Payment Policy

Late Fees & Payment Policy

Monthly fees are payable on or before the due date.

Payments received after the due date automatically attract system-generated late fees, which increase on a weekly basis. As this process is automated, manual modifications or waivers are not possible.

Late fees have been introduced to:

✓ Encourage timely payments

✓ Reduce repeated administrative follow-ups

✓ Ensure fairness for students who pay their fees on time

Late Fee Structure
Delay Late Fee
1–7 Days ₹200
8–14 Days ₹400
15–21 Days ₹600
22–28 Days ₹800
More than 28 Days ₹1,000
A Shared Commitment

At Riyaaz Online, we believe that meaningful musical growth is built upon discipline, consistency, mutual respect, and open communication.

These guidelines are designed to support a smooth, transparent, and enriching learning experience for every student while ensuring fairness across all learning formats.

Whether you are learning for personal enrichment, performance, certification, or lifelong musical growth, my commitment remains the same—to provide every student with a structured, supportive, and inspiring learning environment rooted in the values of the Guru–Shishya tradition.

Thank you for your understanding, trust, and continued support. I look forward to being a part of your musical journey.
